Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have uncovered an underground Boko Haram logistics storage facility in the Timbuktu Triangle area of Borno State, dealing a significant blow to insurgent operations in North-East Nigeria. The discovery followed coordinated, intelligence-led offensives conducted under Operation Desert Sanity in Chilaria, Garin Faruk, and Abirma. According to the Joint Task Force North-East, the troops overran several terrorist enclaves, destroyed camps, and recovered critical items including weapons, ammunition, communication devices, fuel, food supplies, medical materials, and vehicles. The operation was supported by the Air Component, which provided real-time intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance, enhancing ground force effectiveness. Despite facing multiple armed drone attacks from Boko Haram and ISWAP fighters, the troops successfully repelled the assaults and maintained operational momentum. Military authorities report high troop morale and sustained vigilance, reaffirming their commitment to degrading terrorist capabilities, protecting civilians, and restoring lasting security and stability in the North-East region.
