A prosecution witness revealed in the Federal Capital Territory High Court that funds from the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA) were reportedly diverted to companies associated with Aminu Baba-Kusa, a former Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation official. EFCC detective Michael Adarikun testified that on April 17, 2015, N600 million was transferred to Acacia Holdings, which only had N27,094 before the deposit. Subsequently, Acacia dispersed funds to various entities, including N60 million to Hidayatul Atfaal Islamic Academy for land acquisition and N25 million to Zabati BDC Limited in multiple payments. Other transfers included N124 million with no specified purpose, and funds for land processing and the purchase of land at different locations. Additional sums were transferred to various companies, including Medical Plastic Limited and Namuduka Ventures, for conversion to foreign currency for Baba-Kusa. The EFCC is prosecuting several individuals and entities, including Dasuki and Baba-Kusa, for allegedly diverting N33.2 billion meant for arms funding. The trial has been adjourned to January 14 for continuation.
