The federal government has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening Nigeria's capital market to drive economic growth and achieve a one trillion dollar economy, as announced by Minister of State for Finance Doris Uzoka-Anite during a meeting with the Securities and Exchange Commission board in Abuja. Stressing that this goal must be private sector-driven through a robust market that restores investor confidence, the minister pledged full government support alongside Securities and Exchange Commission board chairman Mairiga Katuka, who noted that the commission is implementing reforms to make the market globally competitive and support national development.
