The Governor's Advisory Council (GAC) has denied rumous plans to replace Lagos State governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, with the state's Head of Service, Hakeem Muri-Okunola, in the 2023 Governorship Poll. GAC acknowledges that Sanwo-Olu is doing a great job and has not settled for any person to replace him.

Oyo State governor Seyi Makinde praised the Nigerian Army for its achievements in ensuring security of lives and property in the state. He also noted the achievements of Operation Burst in Oyo State, where the Nigerian Army played a key role. He also commended the gallant officers and soldiers of 2 division Ibadan and the entire Nigerian Army at large.

Adebo Ogundoyin, the Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, has asked that those accountable for Timothy Adegoke's killing be brought to justice. He made the call while attending a memorial service for a 37-year-old Master of Business Administration student at the Obafemi Awolowo University in Ile Ife, Osun state, along with other dignitaries at Eruwa Town Hall in Eruwa. Then, he demanded a thorough inquiry into the murder, emphasising that no one found culpable, regardless of their position, should escape punishment. And said, "Today we are assembled to say goodbye to the late Timothy Adegoke. As his bones are interred, our eyes are heavy with grief.
