Adamawa State Command of the Nigeria Security Civil Defence Corps has arrested a truck loaded with over 200 pipes belonging to the Nigeria National Petroleum Company (NNPC). The arrest followed a tip-off from villagers who documented the truck's details. NSCDC commander Idris Bande reported that the truck, en route to Yola, was intercepted after officers deployed along the Jalingo-Yola road acted on the intelligence. The truck's driver, Adamu Ahmed, removed a component to prevent mobility and claimed he was transporting the pipes to Gombe for sale. The NNPC depot manager confirmed ownership of the pipes, and the suspects will face prosecution for stealing government property.
