Dr. Emeka Offor, a renowned philanthropist, has received praise from President Bola Tinubu and Anambra state Governor Dr. Chukwuma Soludo for spending over N5 billion on charity. The entrepreneur distributed 40,000 bags of rice and other items to the less privileged in his home town of Oraifite, Anambra State, as part of his 65th birthday celebrations. About 179 communities benefited from the gesture. The Emeka Offor’s Foundation also distributed books to over 200 tertiary, secondary, and primary schools across Nigeria.President Bola Tinubu commended Offor for his humanitarian interventions and tireless dedication to important causes. He described Offor’s instrumental role in eradicating polio in Nigeria through his foundation. Anambra State Governor Dr. Chukwuma Soludo commended Offor for his commitment to uplifting lives and acknowledged the current food inflation challenges. He commended Offor’s donation of educational materials to schools, emphasising the importance of inclusive development.Offor thanked everyone for travelling from Anambra and other parts of the state to honor him on his 65th birthday. He thanked Soludo for his developmental strides in the state and advocated for Public-Private Community Partnership (PPCP). Offor's foundation aims to reduce poverty, create life-improving economic opportunities, deliver healthcare services, implement youth empowerment programmes, and contribute to infrastructural development.
