The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and the residents/property owners in Magodo Phase II Estate had an encounter with an unidentified Chief Superintendent of Police, sent from Abuja to lead the supposed execution/enforcement of a Supreme Court judgment. The police officer publicly defied the governor's order to vacate the location, refusing to give an account of the number of policemen at the estate. High Chief Akin Oseni described him as 'a governor for a time like this' and lauded his handling of what he described as 'a messy incident'. The Governor of Magodo, Nigeria, Sanwo-Olu, was dissatisfied with the CSP's response to his presence at the estate. He declared the presence of the security team illegal and urged both parties to give peace a chance.He directed a meeting between all concerned parties at his office on Wednesday and spoke with the Inspector-General of Police and the Attorney General. He has since been working hard to find a solution to the logjam. The meeting held as promised and the parties are gradually moving towards a common resolution.
