The Osun State Government has allayed residents' fears about cult confrontations in the state by issuing a warning to troublemakers to stop acting in a way that could endanger the calm that the people or the state are enjoying or else be prepared to face the repercussions of their actions. Those found responsible for disturbing the peace of Osun by pestering innocent individuals or being in possession of illegal weapons will be forced to face the wrath of the law, according to the Commissioner for Information and Civic Orientation, Mrs. Funke Egbemode. Residents of Omi-tuntun, Ijoka, Sabo, the Ilerin-Ijesa area, and other afflicted communities can now engage in their legal activities without fear, the speaker declared. Although the neighbourhoods are still being closely watched for security reasons, peace has been restored.
