Malam Muhammed Sani Abdullahi, the commissioner of the Planning and Budget Commission, revealed that the Social Register in Kaduna state has more than two million persons from both urban and rural areas. In a keynote lecture titled "The Role of Students in Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)," the commissioner made this claim during a summit hosted by the Kaduna State Students Union (KADSU) at Kaduna State University. Furthermore, he revealed that the 2022 budget for the Kaduna State Government had more than N4 billion set aside for pro-poor interventions. He also said that the current "youth generation is the largest the World has ever known; young people are changing the landscape with high demand for skilled opportunities.
