Maijec Leadership Academy recently held its inaugural inter-house sports competition at Rojenny Stadium in Anambra State, where Green House won the grand trophy, Red House finished as the runner-up, and Yellow House secured the third position. The Chief Executive Officer of the school Ifeanyi Ejibendu, said that sports are vital for students' physical, mental, and cognitive development, while also appealing to the state government to rehabilitate the Academic Road leading to the institution. Community leaders, parents, and school administrators praised the well-organized event for promoting teamwork, showcasing talented students, and  the impressive progress of the two-year-old academy.

During the matriculation ceremony of Shanahan University in Onitsha, Anambra State, Vice-Chancellor Professor Josephat Oguejiofor formally admitted four hundred and ninety-five students out of six hundred and sixty-five total admissions, urging them to maintain high standards of hard work, discipline, and Christian morals. The Vice-Chancellor announced that the National Universities Commission recently approved five new programs—including Medicine, Physiology, Anatomy, English Language, and Law—bringing the institution's offerings beyond its initial nineteen programs. He also commended the proprietor, Chancellor, and Archbishop, Valerian Okeke, for granting a fifty percent tuition scholarship to all matriculating students. During the event, the Obi of Onitsha, Igwe Alfred Achebe, praised the establishment of the university and emphasized that quality education is crucial for addressing Nigeria's shortage of strong leadership, while the Archbishop encouraged the new students to embrace their academic journey with resilience and dedication.
