The Nigerian Navy announced that personnel from the Forward Operating Base in Escravos discovered and dismantled three illegal oil refining sites located in the riverine community of Obodo in Omadino, within the Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta State. According to the Commanding Officer, Captain Ikenna Okoloagu, the early morning operation successfully seized approximately three thousand seven hundred liters of stolen crude oil and two thousand six hundred liters of illegally refined automotive gas oil, which were stored across five refining ovens, twelve dugout pits, and thirty-three polythene sacks. Captain Okoloagu explained that the raid was executed based on credible intelligence as part of the broader Operation Delta Sanity Two and reaffirmed the Navy's firm commitment to eradicating maritime crime in accordance with the directives of the Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ikechukwu Ogalla. He further warned individuals involved in crude oil theft and illegal bunkering that the military will deny them freedom of action and bring them to justice.
