In the Edo South Senatorial District, one hundred and ten senior citizens aged sixty-five to ninety-five each received one hundred thousand naira, a bag of rice, and a food combo pack under the Renewed Hope Initiative Empowerment for the Elderly, spearheaded by First Lady Oluremi Tinubu. The distribution event, hosted by former Edo State First Lady Betsy Obaseki, also provided health and vision screenings for all beneficiaries. Betsy Obaseki praised the non-partisan nature of the initiative, emphasizing its significance in providing essential relief to often-overlooked elderly residents amid national economic challenges, while beneficiaries offered prayers for the President, his wife, and the country.
