An international commercial passenger flight carrying one hundred eighty-one people from Thailand to South Korea tragically crashed upon arrival at an airport after likely suffering a bird strike, skidding off the runway, slamming into a barrier, and bursting into flames in what marks the deadliest aviation disaster in South Korean history. The catastrophic accident resulted in the deaths of nearly everyone on board except for two flight attendants who were pulled alive from the wreckage, prompting an outpouring of grief, condolences, and solidarity from world leaders across the globe, while South Korean authorities recovered the flight recorders, launched comprehensive DNA identification processes, and declared a seven-day period of national mourning.
