During the court session, Anyanwu’s legal counsel voluntarily requested the withdrawal of the case because the matter had been overtaken by events, prompting defence lawyers to request hefty financial costs against the plaintiff. Ultimately, Justice Mohammed Umar dismissed the suit without awarding any costs to the defendants, noting that the delay and subsequent resolution were driven by evolving circumstances rather than the fault of any single party involved in the protracted internal leadership tussle.
