Football coach Bankole Oginni, also known as 'honourable Kole,' allegedly murdered his estranged lover in his living room. The victim, who was tied with rope, had burns on her body, possibly caused by hot water. The suspect was caught when the victim's mobile line was disconnected. The lifeless body was found with her legs and hands tied, and her remains were deposited at the hospital's morgue.

 

Lucky Aiyedatiwa, the deputy governor of Ondo State, has asked the people of the state to pray for Governor Rotimi Akeredolu as he embarked on a medical leave abroad. Daily Trust had, on Tuesday, reported that Governor Akeredolu, in a letter forwarded to the House of Assembly, proceeded on a 21-day medical leave.

The governor also transmitted power to the deputy, Mr Aiyedatiwa, to start ‘acting’ as the governor, pending his return from the medical trip. Mr. Aiyedatiwa, in a statement he signed and issued to reporters in Akure, on Wednesday, pleaded with the people not to relent in their supplications to God for the quick recovery of the governor to resume back to duty.
