The All Progressives Congress (APC) governors have resolved to seek President Muhammadu Buhari's intervention in the resolution of conflicts arising from preparations for the party's national convention. Six options are being considered: holding the convention in February, fixing a new date in March or April, allowing all congresses, reconciliation, court case resolved before the convention, conducting primaries for the 2023 poll, holding presidential primaries, and adopting consensus approach.

They voted for the convention to hold on February 26, and sent emissaries to President Muhammadu Buhari on the need for the convention to hold as decided. President Buhari supported the governors' push for a democratic structure in the party instead of the continuation of an ad hoc leadership, and directed the Caretaker Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC) to keep to its earlier proposal to hold the convention in February. Some governors said the alleged challenges listed by the Caretaker Committee were not enough to shift the national convention. The Progressive Governors Forum overruled the CECPC's proposal to postpone the APC National Convention, which was initially slated for December last year.

The Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON)  said no asset has been  underpriced or sold to cronies of the managing Diirector of their agency. Mr. Ahmed Kuru  said to ensure  transparency in sale of assets, an AMCON desk was established in EFCC. It clarified that all proceeds from disposal of assets were officially paid into the Treasury Single Account (TSA). But the EFCC, which is in possesion of the Certificate of Occupancy of the apartments, faulted AMCON for putting up the sale of the property without recourse to it." President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is set to sign an Executive Order to significantly reduce the cost of drugs and pharmaceutical products in Nigeria. The Federal Government has secured a $1 billion grant from Afriexim Bank and foreign partners for medical industrialization. Health and Social Welfare Minister Muhammed Pate confirmed the recruitment of 2,497 medical doctors, nurses, midwives, and Community Health Extension Workers (CHEWs) to bridge the health sector gap and enhance service delivery.The government has also initiated the construction of pharmaceutical-grade warehouses in 21 states in collaboration with drug management agencies. Two additional warehouses at the federal level are also underway, complemented by the installation of the Warehousing Management Information System (WMIS) – M Supply. This visionary project commenced in October 2023 and is slated for completion in March 2024, with a scheduled commissioning in April 2024.The government has also made significant strides in expanding health insurance coverage, enrolling about 750,000 more Nigerians in health insurance since the beginning of this administration. The implementation of WMIS is expected to significantly enhance accountability and transparency, ensuring the potency of public health medicines and other health commodities.
