A presidential aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dr. Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim, has said the All Progressives Congress (APC) will be voted out in the 2027 general elections.He insisted that alleged legal and administrative manoeuvres against opposition parties would not derail Nigeria’s multiparty democracy.Olawepo-Hashim, a pro-democracy activist, accused the ruling APC of actions aimed at weakening opposition participation ahead of the next election cycle, describing such moves as a threat to democratic competition in the country.He described the development as a warning sign of democratic backsliding and urged Nigerians and the international community to remain vigilant.Olawepo-Hashim called on “lovers of democracy across the world” to consider lawful accountability measures against individuals allegedly working to undermine Nigeria’s multiparty system, including travel restrictions and asset freezes, where supported by credible evidence and due process.He expressed confidence that Nigerians would peacefully remove the APC from power through the ballot in 2027.
