The Chairman of the Ojodu Local Council Development Area in Lagos State, Mr. Segun Odunmbaku, has reiterated his commitment to enhancing healthcare delivery by collaborating with the Lagos State Primary Health Care Board. This pledge was made during a Primary Health Care Policy Dialogue at Sheraton Hotels, Lagos, themed “Strengthening Primary Health Care System: A Joint Leadership Dialogue.” Odunmbaku highlighted significant investments in rehabilitating primary healthcare centers, which included over 600 surgeries, digitalization of medical records, and the provision of modern medical equipment. He affirmed his administration's dedication to maintaining collaboration with the state government and other partners for accessible and quality healthcare. Additionally, Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Prof. Akin Abayomi, noted the government’s comprehensive strategy to tackle issues in primary healthcare operations, financing, technology, data systems, and workforce development. The event was attended by other notable figures, including Dr. Kemi Ogunyemi, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Health, and Dr. Veronica Iwayemi, the Director of Medical Services and Disease Control at the Lagos State Primary Health Care Board.
