In his maiden official meeting with security and intelligence heads, Tinubu expressed gratitude for the sacrifices and loyalty of the armed forces, intelligence agencies, and paramilitary agencies in defending the country from terrorism, insurgency banditry, oil theft, sea robbery, and piracy. He emphasized the need for security agencies to redouble their efforts and emphasizes the need for coordination and timely reports. Tinubu has also outlined plans to reform security architecture and focus on maritime misfortunes, particularly oil theft. He has mandated security agencies to come up with a blueprint and has decided to ensure that armed forces are well-fed, well-kitted, and motivated. The President has also urged intelligence agencies to provide the necessary intelligence to carry out their assignments.
