Otunba (Dr.) Christopher Adebayo Alao-Akala, a former governor of Oyo State, died in his Ogbomoso, Oyo State home on Wednesday, January 12, 2022. He was 71. His son, Olamijuwonlo, announced his death in a statement. Eminent Nigerians paid tributes to the departed former governor, including Delta State Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, who described him as a patriot and a political icon.
