The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria has finalized plans to commence the 2025 Hajj airlift on May 9, concluding by May 24, with all return flights scheduled to end by July 2. During a meeting with State Muslim Pilgrims’ Welfare Board Secretaries and airline representatives at the Hajj House in Abuja, NAHCON assessed state-level preparedness, including visa processing, vaccinations, and logistics. Chairman Prof. Abdullah Saleh Usman urged states to update the commission on their progress. Air Peace, FlyNas, Max Air, and Umza were assigned specific states, collectively handling 43,000 pilgrims, with each airline deploying multiple aircraft. NAHCON also confirmed preparations for medical services in Makkah and Madinah and emphasized the exclusion of pregnant women from the pilgrimage.
