Dangote Cement Plc has denied selling a 50kg bag of cement at an exploitative rate in Nigeria and Benin. An investigation in Cotonou revealed that Dangote Cement was not on sale in the Republic of Benin or in Nigeria. The average price of a bag of cement in Benin was N6,216, while in Cotonou it was N6,068, and N6,660. Dangote Cement Plc clarified that its ex-factory prices differ from those of retailers selling cement in the market.
