Unknown man who is thought to be in his 60s was discovered hanging from a tree in Kano's Kumbotso Local Government Area's Gaida Yankusa neighbourhood. Locals claim that the man was discovered hanging from a tree as they were leaving to go to the mosque to participate in morning prayers. Laminu Abubakar, a resident of Yankusa, claimed in an interview with Daily Trust that the man had been untied and that every effort had been made to identify him. Additionally, it was discovered that the dead man's body had been transported to Kano's Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital's mortuary by the police and the district chief of Kumbotso.
