An estimated 30,000 people gathered in Niamey and other cities, with residents, Nigerians, and Nigeriens calling for a rethink. The Alumni Association of the National Institute (AANI) and Jama'atu Nasril Islam praised Nigeria's efforts in resolving the crisis. ECOWAS has not announced its next move after the deadline expires.
