The opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and other opposing voices in Ebonyi State have been specifically targeted by accusations that the governor of Ebonyi State, Engr. Dave Umahi, has unleashed terror on innocent Nigerians. Hon. Debo Ologunagba, national publicity secretary of the People Democratic Party (PDP), claimed that since Umahi switched from the PDP to the APC, he has allegedly turned to terrorizing innocent Nigerians, particularly PDP members, in an effort to instill a sense of siege mentality among the people of Ebonyi State as a prelude to rigging the general elections in 2023. He claimed that Hon. Linus Abaa Okorie, a prominent member of the House of Representatives, had just been listed as wanted by Umahi without any allegations or charges being brought against him.
