The family of the late elder statesman and nationalist, Chief Samuel Ayodele Adebanjo, who passed away on February 14, 2025, at the age of 96, has announced that his final burial will take place on Saturday, May 3, 2025. According to the funeral schedule released by the family, the series of events will begin with a Day of Tributes and a Service of Songs on Wednesday, April 30, at Harbour Point in Victoria Island, Lagos, followed by a wake on Friday, May 2, at his country home in Isanya Ogbo, Ijebu Ode, Ogun State. The final burial service is scheduled for Saturday, May 3, at Saint Phillips Anglican Church in Isanya Ogbo, preceding his interment, while a thanksgiving service will wrap up the funeral rites at the same venue on Sunday, May 4, as the family invites well-wishers to join them in celebrating his life and legacy.
