The Department of State Security Service (DSS) has been ordered by President Bola Tinubu to leave the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission's office in Ikoyi, Lagos, immediately. According to a statement released on Tuesday by Tunde Rahman, the president gave the order after learning that DSS agents had stormed the EFCC office on Awolowo Road in Ikoyi, Lagos, on Tuesday and were preventing staff members from entering their place of employment. The President was quoted as saying that disagreements between the two significant government agencies would be settled amicably.

The army in Zamfara State has rescued nine kidnapped individuals from Sokoto State. They launched an offensive ambush operation, neutralizing 10 bandits and capturing two. The troops recovered six AK 47 rifles, one PKT machine gun, five magazines, 20 rounds of 7.62MM special ammunition, three mobile phones, two solar panels, and one sewing machine. The rescued victims were handed over to the appropriate authority to reunite them with their families.
