The Federal Government has allocated approximately two and a half trillion Naira to the nation's health sector over the past year for critical interventions, including hiring medical personnel, purchasing ambulances, and constructing facilities, according to the Minister of State for Health, Doctor Iziaq Adekunle Salako. Speaking at a media briefing in Abuja, the minister emphasized that these investments must translate into tangible improvements in patient care and health outcomes rather than just focusing on physical outputs like buildings or vehicles. He outlined key priorities centered on enhancing the quality of hospital care and promoting preventive healthcare, while also urging the media to collaborate in driving public awareness, providing valuable feedback, and supporting the administration's overarching health agenda.
