Sanwo-Olu, Anyaoku, Atiku, Obi, Others to Grace June 12 Anniversary

The June 12 Democracy Day Anniversary Celebration in Lagos, Nigeria, is set to take place on June 12, 2024. The event, organized by The Patriots and the June 12 Pro-Democracy Movement of Nigeria, will feature dignitaries such as Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, and Labour Party Presidential Candidate Peter Obi. Other dignitaries include Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwakwanso, former NBA President Dr. Olisa Agbakoba, and former Independent National Electoral Commission Chairman Prof. Attahiru Jega. The event will be chaired by former Secretary General of the Commonwealth of Nations and Chairman of The Patriots, Chief Emeka Anyaoku. The theme of the rally is "Securing the Future of Nigeria through a Democratic People's Constitution." The event will also feature special interventions and remarks from notable leaders of thought and political leaders. The celebration will conclude with a motorcade procession from the rally venue to the residence of the martyr of the current Nigeria's Democracy, Chief MKO Abiola.
