Tinubu appoints INEC RECs for 9 states Nigerian President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of nine new Resident Electoral Commissioners (RECs) for the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for five-year terms. The appointments are subject to Senate confirmation. The RECs include Isah Ehimeakne from Edo, Bamidele Agbede from Ekiti, Jani Bello from Gombe, Taiye Ilayasu from Kwara, and Bunmi Omoseyindemi from Lagos.
