First Lady’s N100m distributed to Niger explosion victims

Hajiya Fatima Bago, wife of the Niger State governor, has distributed the N100 million donation made by First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu to victims of the January 26 dynamite explosion in Sabon-Pegi, Mashegu Local Government Area. The explosion claimed three lives and injured several others. During the distribution, Hajiya Bago stated that the funds were meant to support about 70 affected individuals and bring relief to the community. She also emphasized the need for sensitization campaigns to educate parents about the dangers of illegal mining, noting that many are unaware of the severe risks it poses. She pledged to work with the Ministries of Women Affairs and Humanitarian Services to raise awareness through various media platforms.
