Don’t Relent in Giving Directions to Younger Women

First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu, at the 2023 Imo Women August Meeting in Owerri, urged women to continue mentoring the younger generation and lauded their critical role in shaping society. Highlighting the theme “Women Supporting Each Other, Making Things Happen,” she emphasized the importance of recognizing both the achievements of younger women and the sacrifices of older women. Through the Renewed Hope Initiative’s Social Investment Agenda, she celebrated widows at the event, distributing food items and 50,000 Naira each to 500 elderly women and widows. She reaffirmed the Federal Government’s commitment to national progress and advocated for Governor Hope Uzodinma’s re-election, promising more transformative leadership. Governor Uzodinma, in turn, praised Imo women and revealed he had chosen a female running mate, while his wife, Barrister Chioma Uzodinma, expressed gratitude to the First Lady for honoring the occasion.
