Ex-AMCON MD, Others Arraigned for Alleged N76bn

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission arraigned the former Managing Director of the Assets Management Corporation of Nigeria, Ahmed Kuru, alongside four others before a Lagos court on six counts including theft, abuse of office, and fraud involving billions of naira and millions of dollars linked to Arik Airline. The defendants pleaded not guilty, and while the prosecution opposed their release due to the severity of the economic charges and flight risks, Justice Mojisola Dada granted each defendant bail in the sum of twenty million naira with one surety, ordered the submission of their international passports, and adjourned the trial to March seventeen, 2025.
