First Lady’s Initiative Partners NEPAD for Growth

First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Initiative has partnered with the African Union Development Agency - New Partnership for Africa's Development and the African School of Economics to provide scholarships to 200 Nigerian students under the "Senator Remi Tinubu’s Scholarship Fund." Announcing the project during a visit to Abuja, African Union Development Agency National Coordinator Gloria Akobundu explained that the initiative aims to empower youth and women through world-class tertiary education and economic development. Senator Tinubu praised the effort, emphasizing that entrepreneurship-driven education is critical for helping young people create their own opportunities rather than waiting for scarce white-collar jobs. Additionally, Information and National Orientation Minister Mohammed Malagi pledged expanded media coverage for the initiative to ensure its social interventions reach more targeted women and vulnerable groups in alignment with President Bola Tinubu's agenda.
