Don’t Relent in Giving Directions to Younger Women

First Lady Oluremi Tinubu urged experienced women to continue guiding younger generations during her address at the 2023 Imo Women August Meeting in Owerri, emphasizing that the struggles and triumphs of older women paved the way for current societal progress. Speaking under the theme "Women Supporting Each Other, Making Things Happen," she highlighted the importance of intergenerational support and demonstrated this commitment by distributing food items, fabrics, and fifty thousand naira each to five hundred elderly women and widows through the Renewed Hope Initiative Social Investment Agenda. First Lady Tinubu reassured the public of the Federal Government's dedication under President Bola Tinubu to build a prosperous nation, while also endorsing Governor Hope Uzodimma for re-election in November 2023 by promising transformative governance for Imo State. In response, Governor Uzodimma, who selected a female running mate for the election, and his wife, Barrister Chioma Uzodimma, expressed deep appreciation to the First Lady for her support and presence as the special guest of honor.
