EFCC Recovers N248bn, $105m, 753 Duplexes

 Zakari Mijinyawa from the Office of the National Security Adviser, Nigerian security and anti-corruption agencies achieved major successes in 2024, with President Bola Tinubu and anti-corruption leader Ola Olukoyede helping drive efforts that led the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission to recover 248 billion Naira, 105 million dollars, and 753 duplexes alongside 3,455 convictions, while high-profile figures including four former governors, three former ministers, and a former Central Bank governor faced trial, and joint military operations rescued 36 abducted farmers and stopped 57.05 billion Naira worth of oil theft, alongside the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission recovering 29.685 billion Naira in cash, 966,900.83 dollars, and an additional 10.804 billion Naira from government agencies.
