Plateau State Branch Commemorates World Book Day

National Library of Nigeria Plateau state branch in partnership with, Aderonke Foundation and Author's/Publishers in plateau joined the International community to celebrate the World Book Day. The event took place at the National Library of Nigeria Jos branch, Plateau state on 22nd April, 2023 with the theme: “Reading in all its forms, development of the book industry infrastructure, inclusiveness and digital accessibility, and empowerment of children through reading"

Forty four (44) children participated both from Aderonke Foundation and Plateau State Branch Book Club.

Highlight of the event include:
1. Pep talk on library value/ library tour.
2. Pep talk by some Author's on writing skills
3. Practical on computer usage etc

In attendance also include a reporter from News Agency of Nigeria and the volunteers of NLN Jos Book Club who shared their success story. The children also pick some of story books displayed to read.

The World Book Day is championed by UNESCO and is celebrated on the 23rd of April annually. It was indeed a happy moment to all those in attendance. Below are some pictures from the event.
