Stakeholders in the book industry have been cautioned against the use of fake International Standard Book Number (ISBN) and the International Standard Serial Number (ISSN).

Nigeria’s National Librarian, Prof. Chinwe Veronica Anunobi, issued the caution during the 21st edition of the Nigeria International Book Fair held in Lagos.

Addressing the participants at the Fair, she observed that some authors and publishers were publishing books and serials without or with fake ISBN or ISSN.
