The National Librarian, Prof. Chinwe Veronica Anunobi, has been honoured by the Nigeria House of Dream Parliament (NHODP) for her immense selfless contributions, hardwork and dedication towards the positive upliftment of the educational sector, public service and humanity over the years.

Presenting the award in her office, the Speaker of the Parliament, Comrade Hon. Mike Egilomatics Egilo in company of other delegates stated that the award is specifically for deserving Nigerians who have distinguished themselves in terms resourcefulness, effectiveness, proactiveness and simplicity of life and purpose. According to him, Prof. Anunobi has been spotted as an icon of societal development in educational sector having sampled the opinions of those she had tutored/mentored over the years and also her landmark achievements in her previous assignments.

The National Librarian who received the award with joy, thanked them for the accolades stressing that power belongs to the youths who are the leaders of tomorrow. She stated that it's good to know that we have very passionate, qualitative, effective and efficient youths who are willing to deliver. She pointed out that she does what she loves doing without necessarily struggling to do them and that she likes all around her to move along with her.

She further charged Nigerian youths to make reading a daily hobby and brace themselves ahead of taking over the leadership of the society at the appropriate time.
