The National Librarian/CEO, Prof. Chinwe Anunobi, has charged the Administrative Staff of the organization to continually build their competence as they optimally discharge their duties.
Speaking at the opening of a three-day in-house training organized for Administrative and Executive Officers in the Human Resources and Administration Department, she advised participants to focus on achieving greater productivity and efficient service delivery.
In the same vein, the Ag. Director of the Department, Mr. Emmanuel Okoro, also charged staff that the department being the pivot which drives the other departments, they should live up to expectations while performing their duties.
Mr. Dele Aworinde, a Deputy Director and Special Assistant to the NL/CEO on Administrative Matters, who presented the first paper spoke on: Implementation of Performance Management System in the Federal Public Service. He stated that the essence of the performance management system is to create an environment for optimal performance by all staff.

- Cultivation of Good Work Habit in an Organisation - Appearance, Attitude and Work Ethics by Mr. Frank Ekeocha, Head (Training and Development)
- Communication in the Public Service – Guides to Memo, Briefs, Reports etc. by Mr. Ibikunle, Head (Staff Welfare)
- Essentials of Registry and Records by Mr. Tijani, S.B.
- A General Overview of the Provision of Public Service Rules by Mr. Abdulkarim Abubakar, Head of Appointment Section.
- Delivering Excellent Pensions Administration Services: the Obligations of Employees under the Pension Reform 2014 presented by Mr. Adeoti Emmanuel, Head of Pension Section.
The training which lasted for three days dealt extensively on the selected topics and the participants were deliberate to discharge their duties henceforth with every sense of commitment and dedication.
